As promised, this week I’m gifting you all my step by step guide on how to start manifesting. Whatever it may be that you’re looking to bring into your life, whether it’s love, health, or abundance of any kind this manifestation 101 should help get you started.
When you understand that the universe is as scientific as it is spiritual the whole concept becomes a lot easier to grasp.
The “Law of Attraction” works just like any other scientific law out there, it’s energy based. Look at it like this, everything in this universe is made up of energy, and that energy is constantly flowing through our bodies and our lives. It’s a frequency. We have the power to set that frequency to whatever channel we want to, through our thoughts and intentions… and who is in control of each one of those? You!
Simply put, it works on a like for like basis…what you put out, is what you get back.
Our thoughts are the transmissions that go out to the universe, with our feelings and our lived experiences being what the universe sends back to us. It’s always matching our frequency. So if you think you are abundant and live acknowledging the abundance you already have (by way of gratitude) the universe will receive the frequency of abundance and send more back to you. (N.B. Having self awareness is crucial to manifesting as it allows us to acknowledge our thoughts and thus the frequency we are emitting).
If you take a good look back on your life you will find you’ve already been manifesting, just unconsciously, you may see patterns in your life where you really wanted something and believed without doubt you could have it, so by the law of attraction it was brought into your life. The same goes for negative thoughts (worry and anxiety) bringing you more of the same, starting to see the pattern?
Whether or not you want to actively begin manifesting, you already are, your past thoughts have shaped the reality you’re currently living, so creating the life you’ve dream of is simply a case of changing your thoughts to align with that future now.
So let’s just get into it. There are three main steps to manifesting:
Step one: Get clear on what you want, really clear, specifics. It helps to write it down, and this part may actually be harder than it sounds, because unless you are in complete alignment with yourself, you may find when asked what you really want, you project others ideas of what you should want, or find yourself wanting things you believe too much to ask for, you may even find you have no idea whatsoever what it is YOU want. This is the biggest eye opener, or it was for me anyway, as it made me acutely aware of the limiting beliefs I was holding onto and how much of my life I’d been living for others. Until you can do this with clarity the next steps will not work.
Step two: Ask the universe, this is where you need to consider your dreams like a menu at a restaurant, and your placing your order with the kitchen, your not ordering through a waiter or waitress your going directly to the source so be clear and specific on what you want, then ask, either speak it out loud or read just in your mind. The key here is to ask, but not concern yourself with the how, just allow the kitchen to prepare your meal as described. Which leads me onto step three…Trust.
Step three : Trust and detach. You only need to ask once. Keep in mind the restaurant scenario. Once you’ve placed your order, you’d trust that it was coming, wouldn’t you? You’d know that they were working on it, and some orders take a little longer to prepare. You wouldn’t keep placing that same order because you doubted it was coming, not only would that confuse the kitchen with multiple orders, but every repeat would probably just cancel the one before out, leaving you constantly waiting for a meal that is constantly being re prepared. By keep asking for the same thing you are actively transmitting a frequency that suggests you are lacking, and don’t have what you’ve asked for, which are both scarcity mindsets, so the universe will in turn receive that message “you don’t have what you’ve asked for, you are lacking” and guess what? It will not give you what you’ve asked for, it will make sure you continue to lack. Whereas if you can trust, (and I mean unwavering faith here) what you’ve ordered is what you will get, you can then detach by continuing to live your life, knowing that without a doubt your orders on its way.
This is my understanding of manifestation anyway, and after practicing it for years and creating the life I’ve always dreamt of I think I’m doing pretty well. It’s hard at first to not try and control the how, where and when, but when you do release control the whole process works much quicker and easier thus reaffirming your belief which… yep! You guessed it gives out more transmissions of “this works, I can do this, the universe delivers etc etc” in turn giving you more of what you want. As I said it’s a like for like law. When I started I had a lot (and I mean A LOT) more questions which I only got answers to by reading “The Secret” itself, this is just a brief guide, a quick how to if you like on how to get started.
Once you start and you begin to see things unfold before you, it’s like a snowball effect, your manifestations get more powerful as your beliefs get stronger and so you are able to manifest quicker.
My top tips:
– Trust the process.
– Embody the person who has already received what you’ve asked for – by living in the frequency of the version of yourself that has already received it, you are continuing to show the universe you believe. Think of it like acting, really good actors “get into” their characters storyline fully…act, talk, dress and behave like the character they are playing, because the more they do the more they believe its their reality, the more authentic their acting becomes, it becomes natural, second nature, think of any main character in your favourite tv series or film, the one who no matter what else you see them in, they will always be the character they played in that one production, thats embodiment.
– Understand that your feelings are your navigation system to your thoughts. We think so many thoughts a day that we can’t be aware of every single one, we would burst! However when you understand your feelings are the first transmission back from the universe reflecting your thoughts you can tell what frequency your thoughts are on. It’s impossible to feel sad if you’re thinking happy, positive, hopeful thoughts, just like it’s impossible to feel happy if you’re thinking sad, negative, fearful thoughts. So if you’re trying to stay on a higher frequency pay attention to how you’re feeling, and if you’re not feeling great it’s a warning sign from the universe you need to change your thought patterns and raise that frequency. (I’ll do a separate post about how to raise your frequency).
…and finally remember the law of attraction is working as long as your thinking. So you may as well be thinking positively and in line with your greatest desires.
